In the 2024 CDP assessment, Formosa Taffeta Co.,Ltd (FTC) once again achieved outstanding performance, earning the highest 'A' level in the "Climate Change" category and a leadership 'A-' rating in the "Water Security" category, fully recognizing the company's ongoing efforts and achievements in addressing climate change and water resource management.
FTC has long been committed to addressing climate change and has implemented various energy-saving and carbon-reduction actions. These include installing solar panels at production sites, promoting renewable energy usage, improving equipment and processes, and enhancing production and energy efficiency, all of which contribute to the transition to low-carbon energy. In line with global carbon reduction trends, FTC also achieved the Science-Based Targets initiative approval in March 2023, becoming the first company in Taiwan's textile industry to be certified for SBTi carbon reduction targets. In terms of water resource management, FTC continues to make significant strides. The company has established efficient water resource management procedures, improved water use efficiency, and is dedicated to reducing water wastage. FTC recognizes the importance of water resources for sustainable development and considers the protection of these resources a corporate responsibility.
